On January 22nd, 2025 I received an inquiry in my inbox from a girl named Ally, specifically looking for a photographer to capture her wedding in a way that made her feel like she was looking back on a documentary of her wedding. As it turns out, Ally is a popular New Jersey influencer (@ms.morristown), whose online presence exists to celebrate her town and bring people together at the local businesses and events that take place in the Morristown community. While I grew up in Denville, I consider Morristown to be my second hometown because I spent so much time there throughout my childhood. In fact, the first wedding I was ever in as a flower girl (maybe even the first wedding I ever attended) was at the Presbyterian Church on the Morristown Green! So all that to say, I was pretty excited to get an inquiry from Ms. Morristown herself, and even more excited when she booked me to photograph and shoot Super 8 at her wedding! Allie along with Peony Events masterminded the coolest, swankiest event—a wedding in a French rococo style mansion nestled right in the middle of the busy Broad Street of Westfield, NJ. Every single detail of this wedding was dreamed up by the bride and groom, from the bagpiper playing on the terrace of the mansion, issuing guests into the ceremony and paying homage to Allie’s Irish heritage, to the vintage Rolls Royce parked out front, to all of the incredible Jersey based vendors who were able to make this day possible. Probably the sweetest part of this entire day was just seeing how much LOVE Allie and Aram were surrounded by. Getting to witness the blending of families never ceases to make me a little emotional. In January of 2026 (approximately one year after Ally originally reached out to me) this wedding was featured as the cover story in New Jersey Bride, forever marking this wedding as a step in my career as a wedding photographer.
